This design was executed as a self-directed response to a property in the rural area bordering a small town in Alberta. Echoing recurring prairie structures, the forms refer to grain elevators, victorian prairie houses, and lean-to additions. The cladding material of corrugated aluminum references another common prairie structure - the lowly granary. Industrial style glazed units in the living room would pivot, allowing the house to embrace the wide open prairie landscape. Original drawings were executed with ink on mylar.
