This preliminary design for a small school for the Sathya Sai foundation incorporates simple shapes to create a dramatic composition. Designed to suit a site in Scarborough, Ontario, the solution presented here is based on a plan utilizing a 'spine' in the form of a two-storey skylit space as the integrating element. Brightly lit public spaces include a reception foyer and library. Materials are aluminum glazing units and brick.
